After performing over 230 concerts together throughout 2014, Sheldon & Cunnane are rapidly becoming a fixture in the Americana/ Roots/ Rock scene. A handful of tours in Florida in combination with an endless southern California tour has helped spread their brand of groove and harmony on both coasts. This dynamic vocal duo of Pennsylvanian singer songwriter / instrumentalists combine acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, and harmonica to create a unique and diverse blend. Performing both acoustic and electric sets, Sheldon & Cunnane draw from their influences of classic rock, jam band, bluegrass, country, reggae, and folk. The duo is sometimes joined by a band of talented southern California musicians including drummers Ben Martin, Keith Erickson, bassist Mark Hokenson, keyboardist Roy Fishell, and a handful of others.
As a duo and individuals, Rich Sheldon and Shawn Cunnane have performed and recorded with a myriad of notable musicians and bands including Snooky Flowers (Janis Joplin), Tim Fagan (Colbie Caillat), John Ennis (Mr. Show), Bob Boulding (Young Dubliners), Noel Scott (Sun Ra), Gerald Veasley, Frank Black (Pixies), Ed Tree (Spencer Davis Group), Juan and Preston Nelson (Ben Harper), Father Guido Sarducci (SNL), Cubensis, Dig Lewis (Stevie Wonder), Jeff Ratner (Langhorne Slim), and Rick Shlosser (Van Morrison). They have also shared billing with other notable musicians including Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and Sweetwater. They have a song recorded by The Heavy Pets featuring mandolinist David Grisman. Their music has been featured on various radio stations (Ziggy Marley Radio), publications (Relix), films (The American Drug War – The Last White Hope), and television programming on both coasts. The duo is currently working on their first album together to be available in the summer of 2015.
